ZAMBOANGA CITY - Gasoline prices in the province of Sulu have spiked by up to P100 per liter.
Residents in Sulu's capital town of Jolo said the price of gasoline started to increase on the second week of July.
A resident, who requested anonymity, said the gasoline supply intended for Imperial Gas Company was not shipped to the province as scheduled due to still unknown reasons.
Imperial Gas is owned by Sulu Vice Governor Sakur Tan.
The only oil products now being sold in the province are reportedly those smuggled from Malaysia.
Traders of gasoline are now able to dictate the prices in the province.
